Reading Notes: WordPress Ch. 4

A Survival Guide to Social Media and Web 2.0 Opimization by Deltina Hay gives a lot of insight into the basics of using social media.

Chapter 4 in particular takes you step by step in “Building a WordPress Powered Website.”

I have used WordPress for over a year now and know most of this information, but one of the main things I did learn was “Building Your Pages.” I do have an About Me page, but it gives more insight on how and why to create more in depth pages.

I also learned about more widgets, such as the “More Les Events” which shows your social calendar of upcoming events, the “More Les News” which is a newsletter generator, and the “Buy Les’s Book” showcasing books on your WordPress blog.
